Healing Hearts for Kids (ages 6 to 12)

Healing Hearts for Kids is our bereavement group for children between 6 and 12 years of age. The program helps children share opportunities of common grief experiences and learn about the grief process.

Healing Hearts for Teens (ages 13 to 17)

Each year, thousands of teenagers experience the death of someone they love. When a parent, sibling, friend or relative dies, teens feel the overwhelming loss of someone who helped shape their self-identities. These feelings about death become a part of their lives forever.

 

At Healing Hearts for Teens, we provide support while allowing the young person a chance to learn about both the joy and pain that comes from caring deeply for others.

 

Kristi Nance-Hmurovich leads this series of six sessions that address the special needs and relationships of the grieving teen. The sessions are held at the Hospice of the Calumet Area office, 600 Superior Ave., Munster, Indiana.

Healing Hearts for Adults (18 and over)

This group is open to anyone in our community struggling with grief. We are here to help support you at this most difficult time of your life. Healing Hearts offers:

• Practical support

• A comfortable atmosphere for sharing struggles and triumphs
