Development/Fundraising Assistant
Hospice of the Calumet Area seeks a dynamic individual to join our development team. Responsible for administrative support of development department, donor relations, event planning, database management and gift acknowledgement management. Work closely with the Director of Development and our Friends of Hospice auxiliary.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, with strong community relations and writing skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications, database management and social media platforms. Fundraising and/or event planning experience.
Position is Full-time, Monday – Friday, travel between Munster and Porter offices. Requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends based on special event schedules.

Medical Records/General Office Clerk
​
Hospice of the Calumet Area is looking for a dynamic and organized candidate to join our team. Key responsibilities include overall responsibility of the EMR documents; processing and scanning documents into the EMR; completing medical records requests, logs and registries; and providing general clerical support to our Team. Previous hospice/homecare experience a plus.

Hospice Admission Coordinator
Work closely with families, discharge planners and referral sources to coordinate referrals through the admission process. Work collaboratively with our admissions team to ensure that all eligible patients receive timely care. Position is full-time M-F with administrative on-call rotation.
Must be a registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years nursing experience including 1 year of acute care hospital experience. Hospice experience required; leadership experience with strong interpersonal communication skills preferred.
Position is Full-time; current IN and IL license required.

We are seeking compassionate team players to join our home hospice team. We have an opening for a full-time nurse case manager for home care patients. Weekend and weeknight on call rotation with triage support. Must be an RN with IN and IL license. Hospice or oncology experience preferred.

Hospice Aide-Inpatient Hospice Full Time Days
Job Requirements:
Must have successfully completed a Certified Nursing Assistant training program that meets appropriate state and federal 484 requirements and must be able to pass Home Health Aide competency test procedures established by Hospice of the Calumet Area, Inc.

Must recognize the importance of sensitivity towards patients/families, other community health professionals, the general public, and other members of the Hospice team.

Must possess a high regard for the confidentiality of all information received.

Must be able to tell time accurately, read and write at a level sufficient to complete necessary documentation.

Must be willing to work flexible schedule, adapt to varying work environments. This position requires every other weekend rotation and holidays.
