Administrative Assistant

Hospice of the Calumet Area seeks a full-time, detail-oriented individual to join our hospice team as an Administrative Assistant. Duties include supporting the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer in the administrative functions of the agency; as well as implementation of human resource policies with emphasis on HR tracking.  

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  •  Schedule and record minutes of agency meetings, including Board of Directors, Board Committee meetings, and routine internal meeting

  •  Maintain filing system for Board of Directors, CEO and agency information/contracts.

  •  CEO correspondence and reports

  •  Maintain agency Policy and Orientation manuals

  •  Maintain complete and accurate personnel records and files; track personnel requirements, training

  •  Assist other disciplines in administrative duties

  •  Serve as a back-up for office Partners during times of high activity/absence as directed

  •  Maintain a high level of confidentiality

 

The ideal candidate is a reliable self-starter who requires little supervision, possesses above average interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally interact and communicate with the public, Board of Directors, Partners, and volunteers. 

 

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Word;  some college preferred or equivalent of 5 years office / HR experience.  Position is full-time, Monday – Friday, at our Munster office.

RNs for our William J. Riley Memorial Residence

​

We are seeking compassionate team players to join our Riley Residence Team. Must be an Indiana licensed RN with hospice or oncology experience preferred.

 

1. Full-time RN, for night shift to provide care on inpatient hospice unit. Three 12 hour shifts each week (6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.) includes        every other weekend rotation.

 

2. Part-time RN for day/night shift rotation to provide care on inpatient hospice unit. Two 12 hour shifts per week.

 

3. PRN/Casual RN for inpatient hospice unit, day and night shift coverage.

RN Case Manager

 

We are seeking compassionate team players to join our home hospice team. We have an opening for a full-time nurse case manager for home care patients. Weekend and weeknight on call rotation with triage support. Must be an RN with IN and IL license. Hospice or oncology experience preferred.

Field Aide

 

Hospice of the Calumet Area is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Field Aide to join our care team.

This meaningful role provides hands-on personal care and support to hospice patients in their homes and other care settings, helping ensure each person is treated with comfort, dignity and respect.

 

Our Field Aides are an essential part of our interdisciplinary team, offering not only skilled assistance with daily care needs, but also a reassuring presence for patients and their families.
