Providing the “Gold Standard” in Comfort Care

Hospice of the Calumet Area has several important roles filled by our volunteers.  These volunteers are men and women, young and old, from the communities that we serve.

  

All volunteers undergo screenings, free training, and orientation to the Hospice philosophy of care.

· Fundraising Volunteer— Hospice 101 required

 

Our fundraisers work on various projects throughout the year to raise money for Hospice of the Calumet Area.

 

· Care to Share Gifts Volunteer— Training provided (see Care to Share Gifts)

 

Both men and women assist customers with purchases and operate the cash register.  During their 3 1/2 hour shifts, volunteers also handle inventory displays, light housekeeping duties and other tasks assigned by the shop manager.
