Our Care to Share Dinners, now in their sixth year, are seasonal dinner/cooking demonstrations featuring area chefs. They are now held in the Cloister-in-the-Woods in Munster. Tickets must be purchased at Care to Share Gifts, at the Hospice of the Calumet Area office or by calling Chris Dow at 219-922-2732. Upcoming dates and featured chefs are listed on our Events page. Care to Share VolunteerVolunteer opportunities are available at Care to Share Gifts, 1842 B 45th Street in Munster. Retail experience, cleaning abilities or secretarial skills are desired but not necessary to work in this fun and friendly environment. Care to Share Gifts is a donation/consignment shop whose proceeds benefit the non-profit agency, Hospice of the Calumet Area. With the exception of a part-time manager, the shop is entirely run by volunteers. Call Care to Share Gifts, 219.922.3727, for more information and a volunteer application. Description: Both men and women assist customers with purchases and operate the cash register. During their 3 1/2 hour shifts, volunteers also handle inventory displays, light housekeeping duties and other tasks assigned by the shop manager.
